A long time since the peaceful times we know of today, there was conflict between the two royal sisters. A dark aura is looming over Canterlot as Princess Luna cannot be found. The winds of a cold long night are blowing over as everypony can feel the precipice of a dark, dark change.

It has been seven years since the fall of Chaos.
Ponies everywhere finally had the ability to enjoy themselves.
Not all was well, however…
For the population unintentionally maintained a blind eye toward the ongoing discrepancies of royal power between their two saviors.
Celestia, The regal guardian of the Sun,
And Luna, The illustrious keeper of the Night
Where their conflict permeates
Our story begins.

And watched as the sun faded away one more time.
“Sister’s already taken over,” Luna thought.

First to go were the eyes.

Pupils condensed to dark slits
As she put on her royal armor.
With every step that she took
Dark magic corrupted more and more of her body.

She took off from the abandoned castle
Electricity falling from her hooves.
Hell-bent on taking her moon back.
Her pride back.

Racing on, bits and pieces of her mane fell out along the trail
Until all was replaced with a dark aura.
What marched from that castle wasn’t Luna.
But black.

Celestia ran as fast as she could, averting her eyes from the chaos occurring around her.
Ponies everywhere either screaming in terror, or crying in fear.
A dark rendition of her sister overcoming the monarch
All that remained in her head was the voice telling her to run.

An idea.

She would use the Elements again, like they did together for Chaos.
A powerful tool to cleanse her sister of the darkness.
This was her now her main objective. Nothing else.
Reuniting the Elements of Harmony.

The thought of using the Elements again was surely a risky idea
Never before has it been used against an alicorn.
Whether or not it would work to save her sister was still unknown.
All she could do was try.

And she will.

This was the time to deploy her secret weapon.

Celestia channeled the Elements, in hopes of saving her sister.
However, when deployed, instead of cleansing Luna

Everyone was celebrating Celestia’s victory over the Nightmare.
But she was still distraught with the entrapment of her sister.

Celestia felt good.
